Drive away awning for Nugget

Does anyone use a drive away awning with their Nugget? I am just concerned about the hassle-factor or putting it up and taking it down again, I only need something for storage really and maybe for the dogs to lie in, how do others get on with drive aways?

I have one on van im selling - not a nugget- not used but mainly because i was worried about wind and heavy rain that can damage

Sorry - im referring to the wind out awning - not the drive away type - i have a drive away that i have used and v useful for sitting outside in rain

Drive away awnings are great when your looking to add a "sealed" extension to your van. However,, if you like to use the wind out awning another option is a stand alone unit. We bought a cinch which is about 2.5m square at base. Simple to put up and down, light and easy to store. We use it as a store or dining area if the weather dictates.

We have recently bought an Isabella X-Tension which was expensive but we liked the way it attached to the van and seems less flappy than some. It went up easily but will obviously be used more in the summer so I'll keep you posted how it goes. It was cheaper at the show and if you join the Isabella awning group there are discounts to be had too from Dean Brownlow who works at Lowdhams.
